As a result of an inspection, conducted on May 4, 2017, EPA identified that the Respondent was not complying with the terms and conditions of the NYSDEC CAFO General Permit. Violations identified include: failure to install a depth marker in a concrete manure tank, and failure to properly set a depth marker in an earthen manure storage; failure to properly operate and maintain all facilities and systems of treatment and control, including a total leachate collection system and a vegetated treatment area; and potential failure to prevent discharges of process waste water from two manure storage facilities. An Information Request and Administrative Compliance Order is being issued to order Respondent to comply with its permit.
