On 9/21/17, Region 3 finalized an Expedited Settlement Agreement (ESA) with Frederick Truck & Auto Accessories, Inc. dba Trick Trucks IV (Trick Trucks Frederick) resolving violations related to the sale of 47 products which render inoperative emission control systems on EPA-certified motor vehicles and motor vehicle engines (defeat devices) in violation of ? 203(a)(3) of the Clean Air Act. Trick Trucks Frederick paid a civil penalty and has agreed to cease and refrain from purchasing, selling, or installing any defeat devices and from tampering with emission control systems on EPA-certified motor vehicles and motor vehicle engines under a compliance plan.
