On October 11, 2017, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by ASRC Energy Services, Inc., located in Anchorage, Alaska. Respondent, which operates a fabricated metal products facility, discharged pollutants to waters of the U.S. and was found to be operating in violation of the Alaska State NPDES Industrial Stormwater General Permit. Violations include failure to monitor the discharge, failure to conduct onsite inspections, and failure to implement the stormwater pollution prevention plan. The company is now operating in compliance and doing so will improve the quality of the stormwater discharges into Campbell Lake, which flows to the Pacific Ocean through Campbell Creek.
