Region 10 Settles with the City of Driggs Wastewater Treatment Plant (Driggs, ID) for CWA Violations
On May 22, 2018, Region 10 issued a consent agreement and final order to address ongoing violations of the Clean Water Act by City of Driggs Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Driggs, Idaho. Respondent, which operates the sewage treatment plant, exceeded its NPDES permit limits for Escherichia coli (?E. coli?), biochemical oxygen demand (?BOD?), total suspended solids (?TSS?), total residual chlorine and total ammonia. The City agreed to pay a penalty of $13,500 and to enter into a compliance order that requires the City to identify and complete modifications and corrective actions to the facility within two years.
