On March 7, 2018, EPA Region 10 settled with Baker Produce, Inc. for violations of EPCRA 304 for failure to timely report an ammonia release at their facility in Zillah, Washington. Baker Produce, Inc. agreed to pay a penalty of $48,400. Failing to report an ammonia release puts emergency responders and the community at risk.
