On August 17, 2020, EPA issued a final Notice of Determination (NOD) to Range Resources Corporation, pursuant to the August 9, 2017, New Owner Audit Agreement (Audit Agreement) between EPA Region 6 and Range. Although LDEQ was not a party to the audit Agreement, Range cooperated with both EPA and LDEQ during the Audit. Based on EPA's review of Range's final audit report and closure certification, EPA determined that Range has met all nine conditions of the Audit Policy, as modified by the New Owner Audit Owner Agreement, and will not assess a civil penalty for the disclosed violations.
