On September 14, 2018, Region 10 issued an Expedited Settlement Agreement and Final Order to Renaissance Fine Woodworking, Inc. located in Pullman, Washington, for violations of the RRP Rule occurring in Moscow, Idaho. The EPA alleged that Renaissance Fine Woodworking, Inc. failed to become RRP firm certified prior to performing renovation work on pre-1978 residential properties and failed to retain all records necessary to demonstrate compliance with the reporting and recordkeeping requirements for a period of three years following completion of the renovation activities as required by the RRP Rule. Respondent agreed to settle and pay a penalty amount of $400.
