Region 10 Settles with BMC East (Everett, WA) for CWA Violations
On May 07, 2018, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by BMC East, located in Everett, WA. Respondent, which operates a lumber storage and wood roof truss manufacturing facility, failed to comply with the Washington Department of Ecology Industrial Stormwater General Permit. BMC East will install additional best management practices, conduct required monitoring and sampling to verify a reduction of the following total suspended solids, pH, chemical oxygen demand (COD), copper, zinc, and oil sheen to Union Slough which ultimately discharges to Puget Sound.
