On December 1, 2017, EPA Region 1 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) (Docket No. TSCA-01-2018-0005) under the TSCA Lead-Based Paint Expedited Settlement Agreement Policy, resolving a violation of the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule alleged against Maurice Field d/b/a A & M Leave the Maintenance to Us, located in Lewiston, ME. Mr. Field was performing renovations on target housing without having obtained firm certification as required by 40 C.F.R. ? 745.89(a), pursuant to 40 C.F.R. ? 745.81(a)(2)(ii). Mr. Field agreed to pay a penalty of $200 and come into compliance with the requirement. This case resulted from Region 1?s Lewiston/Auburn, ME lead paint enforcement initiative
