On February 23, 2018, EPA issued an Administrative Order to the Respondent, the owner of record of the properties attached to the Former Covidien Plant Superfund Site. The Order directs the Respondent to grant EPA access to the Site to conduct an assessment followed by a potential removal action. EPA seeks to address potential asbestos contamination in building debris resulting from a fire in December 2016.
