## Summary

On September 17, 2018, Region 10 filed an Expedited Settlement Agreement (ESA) resolving Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) violations of the Clean Water Act by North Pacific Seafoods Red Salmon Cannery, located in Naknek, Alaska following an August 2017 inspection. The SPCC deficiencies included inadequate secondary containment and a lack of routine tank integrity inspections and spill prevention training. As part of the post-inspection process, the company made improvements to the oil storage areas and updated its SPCC plan. The Respondent also agreed to pay an ESA-based penalty of $3,125.
