Ajax failed to limit the opacity of the emissions from its EUHMAPLANT stack to less than 20% opacity, failed to operate and maintain good air pollution control practices, and failed to cease operations as prescribed by its permit. The Administrative Consent Order requires Ajax to modify its permit to conduct daily visible emissions (VE) observations, and to conduct Method 9 readings and take corrective action as necessary to address the results of the daily VE readings.
