On November 29, 2017, Region III issued a Notice of Warning (NOW) to Deerfield Farms Service, Inc. of Deerfield, Ohio in connection with the sale and distribution of a misbranded pesticide from their EPA-registered Volant, Pennsylvania pesticide production establishment. The pesticide was misbranded because the language on the label did not match the EPA-accepted pesticide label. Specifically, the label lacked significant amounts of container handling and disposal language. The NOW requires Deerfield Farms Service, Inc. to come into compliance with FIFRA.
