EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 301 of the Clean Water Act, 33 U.S.C. ? 1311, to the City of Ferris (Respondent) located in Ferris, Texas. The AO was issued in response to unauthorized discharge or sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) violations and a previous Administrative Order dated November 30, 2017 (Docket No. CWA-06-2017-1711). The AO (CWA-06-2018-1741) requires Respondent to comply with a schedule to create a functioning utility department to prevent SSOs. Respondent must respond to EPA within ninety days of the effective date of the AO.
