EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) under its authority pursuant to Section 309 of the Clean Water Act (CWA) to Cimarex Energy Company (Respondent), located in Culberson County, Texas. The CAFO was issued in response to violations of Section 301 of the CWA for produced water and brine discharges to a water of the U.S. The CAFO requires Cimarex Energy Company to pay a penalty of $13,220 and to do a Supplement Environmental Project. The Respondent must respond to EPA Region 6.
