Region 10 Settles with City of Council  (Council, ID)  for CWA Violations 
On August 16, 2018, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by City of Council, Council, Idaho.  Respondent, which operates a wastewater treatment facility, discharged pollutants to waters of the U.S. exceeding its NPDES permit limits for BOD and TSS.  The city is now on a track towards full compliance and doing so will improve the water quality of the receiving waters.  The city agreed to pay a penalty of $15,000.
