On May 18, 2018, Region 1 entered into a settlement agreement with Acadian Seaplants, Ltd resolving EPA?s claims that Acadian violated FIFRA Section 12(a)(2)(N), and its implementing regulations at 40 C.F.R. Part 152 et seq. and 19 C.F.R. 12.110 - 12.117. The alleged violations relate to Acadian's importing of a product containing an EPA-registered pesticide from Acadian?s business in Canada to two ports of entry in Maine. EPA alleged that Acadian failed to file Notice of Arrival forms with EPA before importing this pesticide to the United States. The settlement requires the payment of a $50,600 penalty.
