This is an Administrative Consent Agreement and Final Order (CA/FO) between US EPA and Shell Martinez Refinery (Respondent), in Martinez, California. This CA/FO sets out the terms for resolution of violations under multiple federal environmental laws: Clean Air Act section 112(r), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act section 304, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act section C, and Clean Water Act section 311. The violations were discovered during routine compliance evaluation inspections at the refinery. Respondent agreed to pay a penalty of $142,664 and to complete all tasks required by the terms of the CA/FO.
