On April 4, 2018, Region 1 filed a combined complaint and consent agreement simultaneously commencing and concluding an enforcement against Armatron International, Inc. (Armatron) for an alleged violation of Section 7 of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. ? 136e. The agreement alleges that Armatron failed to file a timely annual pesticide production report for calendar year 2016 in connection with its registered establishment in Malden, MA. Armatron agreed to pay a civil penalty of $1,412 to resolve the violation. The requirement for registered establishments to report production and sales information helps EPA carry out compliance, risk assessment, and risk reduction functions important for protecting human health and the environment. Without annual pesticide production reports, EPA cannot determine where and in what manner pesticides are being produced, sold, and distributed.
