On September 5, 2018, Region 2 issued an administrative order under Section 104(e)(5) of CERCLA, which directs the Respondent to grant EPA access to its property in Hewlett, New York, comprising a portion of the Peninsula Boulevard Groundwater Plume Superfund Site. The property is the location of a dry-cleaning facility and is a source area of tetrachlorethylene and trichloroethylene contamination. EPA requires access to perform remedial design activities for Operable Unit 2 of the Site, including geophysical surveying, monitoring, and soil-gas, soil, and groundwater sampling.
