On September 27, 2018, EPA filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Prime Marina Vineyard Haven, operator of a marina and boat storage and repair yard located in Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts. Prime Marina discharged stormwater associated with industrial activity not in compliance with the terms and conditions of a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit. Additionally, Prime Marina failed to fully implement a spill prevention, control, and countermeasure plan. Prime Marina has come into compliance with the CWA and has agreed to pay a penalty of $15,721 to resolve the violations. The case team notified the Commonwealth of Massachusetts of the conclusion of this matter.
