Region 10 Settles with Lummi Indian Business Council. (Bellingham, WA) for CWA Violations
On December 19th, 2018, Region 10 filed a compliance order by consent resolving violations of the Clean Water Act by Lummi Indian Business Council, located in Bellingham, Washington. Respondent, which operates a domestic wastewater treatment facility, violated its NPDES permit exceeded its NPDES permit limits for BOD-5, TSS, BOD-5 percent removal, TSS percent removal, pH, and fecal coliform. This compliance order will require the facility upgrade its existing treatment plant to come into compliance with its NPDES permit, and submit annual reports to provide status reports.
