On November 28, 2018 EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) for Compliance under its authority pursuant to Section 309 of the Clean Water Act to the City of Gallup, NM. The AO was issued in response to violations of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit No. NM0020672. The AO requires the City of Gallup to submit to EPA missing progress reports and to submit a comprehensive plan to address sanitary sewer overflows. The City of Gallup must respond to EPA Region 6 within thirty days of issuance of this Order.
