On March 7, Region 10 filed a consent agreement and final order resolving violations of the Clean Air Act by Empire Lumber Company, located in Kamiah, Idaho. Empire operates a lumber planing and drying facility that includes a boiler that burns wood waste. The boiler exceeded the emission limit for particulate matter found in the Empire?s Title V Permit on at least one day. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $29,100.
