During a work-site inspection, an EPA inspector observed Respondent conducting a renovation in target housing that disturbed
lead-based paint. Respondent failed to cover the ground with plastic sheeting extending 10 feet beyond the perimeter of surfaces undergoing renovation, in violation of 40 C.F.R. Section 745.85(a)(2)(ii)(C). Respondent qualified as a Microbusiness, EPA and Respondent agreed to settle the matter with payment of a civil penalty in the amount of $560.
