On March 12, 2019, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 301 of the Clean Water Act, 33 U.S.C. ? 1311, to the City of Crowley (Respondent) located in Crowley, Texas. The AO was issued in response to unauthorized/unpermitted discharges [or sanitary sewer overflows (SSO)] violations. The AO requires Respondent to 1) submit a list of specific actions taken to correct the violations; and 2) submit written certification to EPA that the violations have been corrected and the Respondent is in compliance. Respondent must respond to EPA within thirty days of the effective date of the AO.
