On May 8, 2019, Region 1 issued a Clean Water Act administrative compliance order (Order) to Stone Road Energy, LLC to address violations of the Oil Pollution Prevention regulations promulgated under Section 311(j) of the Clean Water Act at its oil storage facilities in Bridgton and Gorham, Maine. The Order requires the company to revise and fully implement its oil spill prevention plans at these two locations. The SPCC Program is a direct implementation program, but EPA has notified the Maine Department of Environmental Protection of this action.
