On June 11, 2019, the Region filed an expedited settlement agreement with Continental Paving, Inc. (Continental Paving) of Litchfield, New Hampshire addressing violations of the Oil Pollution Prevention regulations promulgated under Section 311(j) of the Clean Water Act. An EPA Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) inspection at Continental Paving revealed that the facility did not have a fully implemented SPCC plan. The company will pay a $3,200 penalty.
