On July 30, 2019, EPA Region 10 issued a consent agreement and final order to Coeur Mining
resolving violations of EPCRA Section 313 occuring in Juneau, Alaska at Kensington Gold Mine.
The EPA alleged that Coeur Mining violated EPCRA Section 313 by failing to file Form R reports to
the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) for nitrate compounds manufactured by the facility from 2013 to
2017. Coeur Mining has submitted their Form R reports to TRI and agreed to pay a penalty of
$84,500.
