On July 1, 2019, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Compliance Order on Consent (AOC) under its authority pursuant to the authority of Section 113(a)(1)(A) of the Clean Air Act, 42 U.S.C. ? 7413(a)(1)(A) to Nucor Steel Louisiana, LLC (Nucor) located in Convent, LA. The AOC was issued in response to violation of LAC 33:III.919.B.1 of the Louisiana SIP by failing to report actual emissions in the annual emissions inventories for CO for reporting year 2016 as to DRI Unit No. 1 Acid Gas Absorption Vent (Emission Source) at the Facility. The AOC requires Nucor to report actual emissions in their annual emissions inventory for 2016.
