On June 21, 2019, EPA issued an Emergency Compliance Order to Grindstone Indian Rancheria (Respondent) under the Safe Drinking Water Act requiring Respondent to immediately redistribute Boil Water Notice to all customer homes and post in conspicuous public areas, immediately procure and continuously use National Sanitation Foundation-approved chlorine disinfectant, implement monitoring and sampling, and establish an alternative drinking water plan, and other requirements. Grindstone Indian Rancheria is located in Elk Creek, California and provides drinking water to approximately 56 service connections to approximately 150 persons.
