On August 8, 2019, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Compliance Order on Consent (AOC) under the authority of Section 113(a)(1)(A) of the Clean Air Act, 42 U.S.C. ? 7413(a)(1)(A) to Sasol Chemical (USA) LLC (Sasol) for its' Lake Charles Chemical Complex facility located in Westlake, LA. The AOC was issued in response to a violation of LAC 33:III.919.B.1 of the Louisiana SIP for failing to report actual emissions in the annual emissions inventory for VOCs for reporting year 2016 as to multiple sources at the facility. The AOC requires Sasol to report actual emissions in their annual emissions inventory for 2016.
