On July 29, 2019, EPA reached three expedited settlement agreements with Stone Road Energy, LLC of Bridgton, Maine that resolve violations of the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) requirements of the Oil Pollution Prevention regulations under Clean Water Act Section 311. The company will pay $8,118 for violations at its Bridgton facility, $4,047 for violations at its Gorham facility, and $4,257 for violations at its Limerick facility. Last month, the Region had issued a compliance order to the company requiring it to take specific actions within specified timelines to revise and fully implement SPCC plans for the three facilities.
