This information request and administrative compliance order is being issued to address violations of the NYSDEC SPDES Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) identified during a July 12, 2019 inspection of the Respondent's Steel Fabrication Facility located in Gouverneur, NY. Violations identified include failure to conduct and document quarterly BMP inspections, quarterly visual monitoring, annual dry weather inspections, annual training, and failure to implement corrective actions in response to continual benchmark exceedances of metals, including iron, as required by the MSGP. The Order requires the facility to comply with the terms and conditions of the MSGP.
