Respondent conducted renovation activities at 237 Pasadena Place, Hawthorne NJ, in June of 2015. On-site observation by a Borough of Hawthorne health official and EPA�s June, 16, 2016, Information Request Letter led EPA to conclude: that Respondent had failed to obtain initial RRP firm certification, to take extra precautions in containing the work area to ensure that dust and debris from the renovation did not contaminate other buildings or other areas of the property or migrate to adjacent properties, to retain all records necessary to demonstrate compliance with the RRP Rule, and to provide on-the-job training to uncertified workers. Respondent is alleged to have incurred a total penalty of $15,600 in violations of the RRP Rule.
