On September 24, 2019, Region 1 filed an expedited settlement agreement with A.D. Makepeace Company addressing violations of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for Discharges from Construction Activities (CGP) at the Federal Road West Solar site in Carver, Massachusetts. An EPA inspection at the facility revealed that A.D. Makepeace Company had failed to comply with CGP requirements regarding inspections on-site. The company will pay a $4,800 penalty and has taken steps to come into compliance with the CGP.
