Summary

On September 27, 2019, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Compliance Order on Consent (AOC) under the authority of Section 113(a)(1)(A) of the Clean Air Act, 42 U.S.C. ? 7413(a)(1)(A) to The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) for its Louisiana Operations facility located in Plaquemine, LA. The AOC was issued in response to a violation of LAC 33:III.919.B.1 of the Louisiana SIP for failing to report actual emissions in the annual emissions inventory for reporting year 2017 as to various sources at the facility. The AOC requires Dow to submit documents to EPA concerning the corrected annual emissions inventory for 2017, review its procedures for submitting annual emissions inventories to LDEQ and update as necessary to ensure future accurate emissions reporting, and submit to EPA a copy of the signed Certification Statement submitted to LDEQ for reporting year 2019.
