On September 30, 2019, EPA filed an expedited settlement agreement regarding Martelli Construction Co., Inc. The agreement addresses Martelli Construction Co., Inc.'s violations of the General Permit for Discharges from Construction Activities at the Greenwood II site in Holden, Massachusetts. The company failed to adequately stabilize slopes, protect or stabilize stockpiles, and maintain perimeter controls at the site. Pursuant to the agreement, Martelli Construction Co., Inc. will pay an $8,400 penalty.
