On September 30, 2019, the Region issued a Clean Water Act Administrative Compliance Order to the City of Greenfield, Massachusetts for its noncompliance with the stormwater requirements of the Clean Water Act. The City will be required to develop a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and to apply for authorization under the Multi-Sector General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated with Industrial Activity for its water pollution control facility.
