On July 26, 2023, a complaint was filed against Defendants under section 106 of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, 42 U.S.C. 9606 relating to releases of hazardous substances at Operable Unit 1 of the San German Groundwater Site in San German, Puerto Rico. The proposed consent decree resolves this claim and requires the Defendants to
design and implement the remedy selected by EPA for Operable Unit 1 of the San German Groundwater Site. In addition, the
Defendants agree to pay the United States' future costs for overseeing the response work.
