This case addresses violations of the Clean Air Act (CAA) by More Power Tuning, LLC (MPT), a Florida company which sells aftermarket motor vehicle parts. Between January 2014 and August 2015, MPT installed over 5,200 emission control defeat devices and removed stock emissions control components on 84 vehicles.
As part of the settlement with EPA, MPT paid a $100,025 civil penalty and agreed to refrain from purchasing, selling or installing emission control defeat devices and from tampering with emissions controls
