EPA Region 6 submitted the Department of Justice a referral under the authority pursuant to the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. ? 1251 1251 et seq.) for Transocean Offshore Deep Drilling located in the Western portion of the Gulf of Mexico. The referral was issued in response to 1,500+ violations under the CWA and the GMG290000 offshore general oil and gas permit on September 30, 2019.
