## Summary

EPA Region 10 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) to address violations of the Clean
Water Act by Pacific Seafood LLC?s Washington Crab Producers facility, located at 220 East Dock
Street, Westport, Washington. Respondent, which operates a seafood processing facility had numerous
violations of the CWA and its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. The
violations include discharge of pollutants in excess of permit limits, failure to comply with discharge
monitoring report (DMR) requirements, improper monitoring, and improper sample collection and
preservation. The Respondent agreed to pay a penalty of $190,000. The Environmental Benefits of this
enforcement action will be an annual reduction in the discharge of the following pollutants into
Washington?s waters: Fecalcoliform - 17,995 lbs/year, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD5) -
256,564 lbs/year, Total Suspended Solids (TSS) - 115,845 lbs/year, and Oil & Grease (O&G) - 48,255
lbs/year. These reductions will be achieved by improving effluent treatment, monitoring, and sampling
procedures.
