EPA Region 10 filed an expedited settlement agreement resolving violations of the Construction
General Permit by the Bogus Basin Recreational Association (?Owner?), located in Boise, Idaho.
Respondent, owner and operator of the Bogus Basin Stabilization project construction site failed to
conduct and/or document over 40 inspection, failed to install and maintain Best Management Practices
(BMPs), and failed to install appropriate stormwater controls such as velocity dissipation devices,
which would mitigate erosion. Since erosion leads to sediment and other pollutants entering Waters of
the U.S. (WOTUS), the environmental benefit of this action is a reduction in the potential for a
pollutant discharge to WOTUS. The Respondents agree to pay a penalty of $52,680.
