On February 3, 2020, Region 5 executed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) with Well Done Painting Services, LLC. The CAFO commences and concludes a proceeding identifying alleged violations of the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), specifically of the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule (RRP Rule). Region 5 alleged that during calendar year 2018, Well Done Painting Services, LLC failed to: maintain firm certification; establish and maintain records for a period of 3 years following completion of renovation activities; provide the pamphlet to 16 owners of target housing; ensure that all individuals working on behalf of the firm are either certified renovators or trained by a certified renovator; and, ensure a certified renovator was assigned to each renovation. Well Done Painting Services, LLC paid a $2,181 penalty.
