On December 18, Region 3 issued a NORA to IOREX USA, Inc. for importing a misbranded pesticide device through the port of Washington DC (Dulles). The pesticide device label for IOREX Water Treatment System , which is a water filter used to prevent bacteria and biofilm growth in the water pipes and lines, was missing certain label elements required by FIFRA and was thus considered to be misbranded. Sale and distribution of a misbranded pesticide device is a violation of FIFRA.
