Summary

On June 11, 2020, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) under its authority pursuant to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) to DFW Waste Oil Service, Inc. a privately owned, small business engaged in the collection, recycling and disposal of used petroleum products and waste materials. DFW?s used oil processing facility located in Alvarado, Texas. In July 2019, EPA conducted an on-sight inspection. Based on the inspection and document review, DFW was in violations of 40 C.F.R. ? 279.52 with an SPPC plan not including all the requirements, and 40 C.F.R. ? 263.12, storing manifested hazardous waste for greater than 10 days. As part of the CAFO, DFW has agreed to return to and certify compliance within 60 days.
