On June 7, 2020, Moreno & Sons Co. attempted to import Bonita Alcohol Sanitizing Spray. The broker provided photographs of the bottles of this product. These showed that the label on the bottle bore the following pesticidal claims and directions for use: Sanitizing Spray; .... suitable for cleaning and disinfecting the surfaces of general objects such as furniture, watches, and facilities... The label did not contain an EPA registration number or an EPA establishment number. The Bonita Alcohol Sanitizing Spray disinfectant is an unregistered pesticide. The distribution of an unregistered pesticide is an unlawful act under FIFRA Section 12(a)(1)(A), 7 U.S.C. Section 136j(a)(1)(A). All pesticides are required to be registered with EPA before their entry into the United States (unless certain exemptions are met), and pesticides entering the United States cannot be misbranded. This Shipment with Entry Number AQZ 04906767, is denied pursuant to Section 17(c) of FIFRA 7 U.S.C. Section 136o(c).
