On July 29, 2020, EPA Region 10 issued a consent agreement and final order to Hytek Finishes, Co.,
resolving violations of EPCRA Section 313 occuring in Kent, Washington. EPA alleged that Hytek
Finishes, Co., violated EPCRA by failing to file Form R reports to the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI)
for 1-bromopropane processed by the facility from 2016 to 2017, and for chromium compounds
manufactured by the facility from 2015 to 2016. Hytek Finishes, Co. has submitted its Form R reports
to the TRI and agreed to pay a penalty of $75,000.
