On August 14, 2020, EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) under its authority pursuant to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) to Anheuser Busch located in Houston, Texas. Anheuser Busch is a manufacture of alcohol consumer products. EPA conducted a RCRA record review of the Houston facility activities as a generator of hazardous waste. A search of the facility?s history revealed they declared themselves as very small quantity generator since 2010. However, shipments of hazardous wastes originated from the facility in 2019 in quantities representative of a large quantity generator. The CAFO was issued in response to violations for: failing to provide adequate and timely notification of its hazardous waste activities at in violation of Section 3010(a) of RCRA, 42 U.S.C. ? 6930(a), and failure to meet the requirements of its generator status as a large quantity generators under 40 C.F.R. ? 262.34/or 270.
